Performance with a Purpose: One Tree Planted For Every Event
I’m super proud and excited to be partnering with Reforest to plant a tree for every gig I play.
Why am I doing this? I have a strong interest in the health both of humans and the natural environment, having completed degrees in Biomedical Science and Science, majoring in Ecology and Conservation Biology. These two fields are closely linked, as it’s well known that environmental health is a key influencer of our health, both physically and mentally.
Through the Reforest platform, I have estimated my carbon footprint and not surprisingly, almost all of my footprint comes from my travel to and from gigs. In planting one tree per gig, I would be offsetting more carbon than I am emitting, making my business carbon-positive.
I believe that doing a small, simple thing to make a tiny, positive impact adds a unique angle that enhances the brand of my business.
In booking me for an event, my clients can feel good in the fact that are they are not only supporting my business, but also supporting my little initiative to give something back to this big old planet of ours. How cool is that!
